A Repeat Performance of a Call Center Webinar

Thank you to everyone who participated in my webinar, Maximize Your Success: Getting a Job in the Call Center Industry.  It was a blast!  I read the survey results and it was all positive.  They found it very helpful and the tips and advice were going to be shared to fellow agents.  We even had a call center owner in the group.

Because we had little time to market this webinar, there were quite a few who couldn't make it.  I've decided to offer this again sometime in December.  If that goes well, I'm thinking of doing it at least once a month for aspiring call center applicants.

I'll keep everyone updated once the schedule has been finalized.  If you are interested in joining, let me know and I'll send you a link to the registration page.  Better yet, you can join the mailing list by registering through the Philippine Webinars website.

Call Center Job Webinar

To respond to the overwhelming emails asking about the Call Center recruitment process, I will be conducting a FREE webinar called "Maximize Your Success in Getting a Job in the Call Center Industry" this coming Saturday, November 8 at 4PM Manila time.

This webinar aims to:

  • Orient participants on the standard call center recruitment process
  • Provide standard interview questions and tips on how to answer them
  • List of common requirements expected of a call center agent applicant.

If you are wondering where the venue is, it is virtually anywhere you can get a good broadband Internet connection and have access to a PC headset with a microphone.  So, you can be home sitting on your favorite couch or in an Internet Cafe near you.

So get a chance to ask your questions LIVE!  Attend the FREE webinar and learn how to maximize your success in landing a job in the call center industry.  Feel free to send your questions through the registration form, post it here or send me an email at callcenterph [at] gmail [dot] com.

You can register here.  This is hosted by ProFora Media.

More Call Center Agent Interview Questions

My original article, Call Center Agent: Interview Questions have been the most popular amongst my readers. Even after a year, the emails are still coming in from all parts of the world.  The questions are the same.  "Can you help me pass an interview? I really want to become a call center agent. Can you give me the answers to the questions? Any more questions that they can ask?"

I've collected more from several readers to add to the list. Before you go through this list, make sure you visit the first list I posted.  Here are more questions.

  • How do you handle irate customers?
  • Why would you hire you?
  • How do you handle stressful situations?
  • Have you done telemarketing or sales in your previous job?
  • Are you familiar with the Australian or British culture? Are they similar with Americans?
  • How soon can you start?
  • How would you feel if a customer yelled at you and used vulgar words?
  • Do you have friends that work in a call center?
  • Do you have a preferred schedule? Night or day shift?
  • Will this job and schedule make it difficult for you to maintain your current lifestyle and home life?
  • Have you dealt with a foreigner at any time during your career or personal life? Explain further.

In as much as I would like to help and provide answers to these questions, it would be awkward to do so.  An interviewer is trained to detect whether your answers are accurate.  If you were to use someone else's answer, you wouldn't be comfortable and confident.

Like any interview, confidence is key to passing it.  This is very true for initial assessments within the industry. I mentioned this before --- "It's HOW you answer and not so much of the what.

As a side note, I help other people do mock interviews with follow up questions as practice.  Drop me a note if you would like more help.

A New Section: Job Ads

About 60% of my readers in Call Center Script contact me for job openings and different tips on how to pass exams and training to make sure they get the job.  Out of the 60%, about 40% ask about home based jobs within the industry.

I'd like to help them get closer to call center companies and head hunters.  So, I've opened up a new section within this blog and will post job advertisements specifically for my targeted readers.  What I'd like to avoid is to cut and paste job ads from other sources, unless absolutely necessary.  If it was something that most of my readers would like to see or something they are looking for (like home based jobs) then I will post it.

This is also an open invitation for companies to request their job ads to be posted here.  As this is for free, I can't guarantee it will be posted unless it meets some requirements.  My purpose is to make sure my readers get what they need before they hop on the next bus to go to your office or send their CV.  This also ensures your time isn't wasted.

Here are the requirements:

  • Company Website
  • Job Qualifications (make it specific please)
  • Deadlines & Expiration Dates
  • Benefits of joining the company

And for our job seekers, do send me an email or place some comments to share your experience when you applied for these companies.  This will help others to look out for the warning signs before they start applying.

Happy Job Hunting!
