More Call Center Agent Interview Questions

My original article, Call Center Agent: Interview Questions have been the most popular amongst my readers. Even after a year, the emails are still coming in from all parts of the world.  The questions are the same.  "Can you help me pass an interview? I really want to become a call center agent. Can you give me the answers to the questions? Any more questions that they can ask?"

I've collected more from several readers to add to the list. Before you go through this list, make sure you visit the first list I posted.  Here are more questions.

  • How do you handle irate customers?
  • Why would you hire you?
  • How do you handle stressful situations?
  • Have you done telemarketing or sales in your previous job?
  • Are you familiar with the Australian or British culture? Are they similar with Americans?
  • How soon can you start?
  • How would you feel if a customer yelled at you and used vulgar words?
  • Do you have friends that work in a call center?
  • Do you have a preferred schedule? Night or day shift?
  • Will this job and schedule make it difficult for you to maintain your current lifestyle and home life?
  • Have you dealt with a foreigner at any time during your career or personal life? Explain further.

In as much as I would like to help and provide answers to these questions, it would be awkward to do so.  An interviewer is trained to detect whether your answers are accurate.  If you were to use someone else's answer, you wouldn't be comfortable and confident.

Like any interview, confidence is key to passing it.  This is very true for initial assessments within the industry. I mentioned this before --- "It's HOW you answer and not so much of the what.

As a side note, I help other people do mock interviews with follow up questions as practice.  Drop me a note if you would like more help.
